2019 Christmas Party

Tuesday 11 December Ettalong ladies Bowlers celebrated another eventful year with our Christmas Party. As usual, the Committees had an early start to set up, and it was not long before the auditorium was transformed. Under the Christmas tree, were the three raffle hampers and a very large Santa sack, filled to the brim with lucky door prizes’. Our first official guest to arrive this year was Santa, who had taken the time from his very busy schedule to fly all the way from the North Pole to Ettalong. Santa was welcomed by President Elaine and got straight down to the business of handing out the presents’, this set the tone for a fun filled day. We would like to give Santa a big “Thank you” for giving of his time, it was really appreciated. This year our official guests were, Club President Robert Henderson, CEO Tim McGavin, Kylie and Office Staff Marie, and Kylie.  President Robert spoke briefly, telling us that Ettalong Memorial Bowling Club was voted best Bowling Club on the Coast for 2018, and wishing all in attendance a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Lunch was served at mid-day, and the raffles drawn. The lucky winners this year were Penny McLeod, Maureen Kerr, and Kathy Kennedy. A lot of good comments were heard about the entertainment this year, easy to listen, and dance to music. The more agile Members took to the dance floor to dance the afternoon away. Every one joined in “Auld Lang Syne”, and said “goodbye” until 2019. Thank you to all who helped set up for the day and cleaned up afterwards.

President Elaine, and her Executive Committee, would like to wish all Members, a very Merry Christmas and a happy, and healthy New Year. See you all when bowls resume on the 8th January 2019
